Mind Habit of the Month: - The Happiness "Snowball"
Frosty snow makes snowballs
because each icy flake attracts and holds the others. You
scoop up a handful of snow and pack the flakes into a hard, round,
compact ball. Individually, the snowflakes are delicate
and have little impact - in fact the wind blows them wherever
it wills. But packed into a hard icy ball, if you've ever
been in a snowball fight, you know they pack a wallop! Your thoughts are very similar.
Random thoughts of happiness, in and of themselves give you passing
moments of happiness. They are "blown by the wind."
But "practiced" happiness means deliberately choosing thoughts
about things that keep you smiling. One thought of happiness
begets another, begets another. They become like that scoop
of icy snow that you then pack into a walloping, strong snowball.
It can knock the negative thoughts out through choice. No one said it was easy.
It takes being deliberate and mindful - a driving desire to remain
happy. What you may not know is that emotions are linked
to brain chemicals that can be addictive (recommended movie "What
the Bleep Do We Know," or recommended reading: Candace Pert, Ph.D.
"The Molecules of Emotion." Practiced happiness isn't
being a Pollyanna. It doesn't mean you aren't aware of the
negative issues in life, but you do get to choose how much and
how long you focus on the negative versus the positive.

this has only scratched the surface. Here's another great

Are you, or someone you love addicted to Sugar/Carbohydrates?

major qualified primary addictions. When left unchecked,
each one of these leads to death (some quicker than others).
We're not just talking about physical death. Living with

like ADD, ADHD, Tourettes Syndrome, Autism, Ashberger's Syndrome

Tip- How would you like
to eat something that turns to fat quicker than sugar?
High-fructose corn syrup is a sweetener found in most sodas
and many other processed foods. In a new study on mice,
this sweetener is shown to be at least partially the cause
of insulin resistance.
Fructose is the culprit
- it is metabolized into fat storage over glucose storage
in the liver. What is worse, in the process it can lead
to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which then leads
to an insulin resistance of the liver ("hepatic insulin resistance"
and eventually type II diabetes!
New cases of diabetes
have ballooned. The increase doctors have seen is 90%
in the last ten years! One in four Americans is now
afflicted with either pre-diabetes or diabetes. What
are we doing to ourselves?
Read labels. Speak
to manufacturers with your dollars and purchases by NOT buying
those foods that contain high fructose cornsyrup. It
just may save your life.

The
Amazing Emotional Freedom Technique for a Better Life
EFT
sounds too simple to be true, but there is a tremendously
high percentage of success with (to name a few) addiction
problems, traumatic memory relief, abuse issues, phobias,
psychosomatic created illnesses, pain, and other physical
and emotional symptoms.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) combines key phrases with
tapping of meridian endpoints to bring relief. The theory
behind it is that every negative emotion one suffers from
is caused by a disruption of the body's electromagnetic energy
system (an unseen system now proven by science). An
unpleasant experience occurs and there is literally static
in the electromagnetic flow of the body's energy.
When you release the block and allow the energy to flow the
problem is reduced or relieved. This can occur quickly,
and sometimes it can be a bit more complex, where there are
a number of what we call "aspects" related to the topic at
hand. If there are more aspects EFT is applied to these
aspects until the emotional charge around them is zero.
It is amazing how wonderful it feels.
The body stores memories too. As these energy blocks
in the body's system are cleared, the emotional charge declines
